Massindo Group Inaugurates The 20th Comforta Spring Bed Factory in Banjarmasin

Banjarmasin, November 22, 2014 – Massindo Group officially opened a branch in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, on Jl. Gubernur Subarjo KM 9, Warehouse No. 15-17, Saturday (22/11). Banjarmasin factory construction is expected to repeat the success that has been achieved in the previous two branches of Balikpapan and Samarinda.

Massindo Group continues to perform well with the addition of factory expansion, Sleep Center, and dealer in order to serve and reach people in all corners of Indonesia. Especially for the Kalimantan region, Massindo Group has been present since 2009 and managed to grow by leaps and bounds in terms of number of consumers served.

Central Indonesian territory, especially areas of Borneo is an area that is growing rapidly because it is supported by very rich natural resources. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in 2014, economic growth in South Kalimantan cumulatively until the third quarter of 2014 grew to 5.01 per cent. Trade, hotel and restaurant is one of the sectors that experienced high annual growth (y to y) to 8.22 percent, so this is a good potential and opportunity for Massindo Group.

“We opened a branch in South Borneo Banjarmasin so that people can buy products Spring Air, Therapedic, Comforta, SuperFit, Protect-A-Bed with easier, cheaper and more complete. These products are available at leading furniture stores in Banjarmasin and areas in South Kalimantan,” said Jeffri Massie, President Director Massindo Group on the sidelines of inauguration of the 20th Massindo Group factory in Banjarmasin.

The factory with a land area of approximately 900m2, emphasized that Massindo Group is the largest bedding companies in Indonesia which is supported by more than 1,000 dealers throughout the country.

“Our target until the end of 2014, Massindo Group has branches in 21 cities. According to the mission of Massindo Group to improve life quality of Indonesian families. Hopefully our presence here will be easier for people to get the best quality spring bed mattress products in Indonesia as Comforta, and the world class such as Spring Air and Therapedic. We hope for support from community and local government so Massindo Group’s presence in South Kalimantan will bring goodness and common progress for us all, “Jeffri Massie.

In the same occasion, Jackson Massie as Group Director of Massindo Group in Central and Eastern Indonesia Region said that the company has prepared a warehouse and assembling facility for early stage.

“These Banjarmasin factory facilities, we have designed to supply the needs of South Kalimantan market until two years into the future. Next we will invest more to build a full production factory with full production capacity from upstream to downstream. Therefore, we expect the support of the local community so that we can further accelerate achieve our goals, which in turn will bring greater investment and occupations to Banjarmasin,” he said.

Jackson further said, South Kalimantan province in population and demographics were similar to East Kalimantan. “We hope Massindo Group branch in Banjarmasin could double the sales in the island of Borneo, which previously only rely on sales in East Kalimantan. Moreover, South Kalimantan branch will reach to Central Kalimantan province, hence the establishment of branch in Banjarmasin is a very important strategic step for the distribution of the flagship product of Massindo Group in Kalimantan,” he said.

Currently, for the Central Region, Massindo Group already has 350 active dealers. With the addition of dealers from South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, is expected to establish cooperation with 60-70 new dealers. As a token of appreciation to the new dealer in South Kalimantan region, Massindo Group will hold a ceremony at the Hotel Mercure Grand Launching on Saturday (22/11).

Previously, Massindo Group has also officially opened its two newest branch in Mataram (September 4, 2014) and Ambon (October 17, 2014). So that, with the opening of the 20th branch in Banjarmasin, Massindo Group has almost met its target in 2014 which has 21 branches throughout Indonesia.
